Hans Miller

Hans is a former McKinsey Engagement Manager who played a significant role in the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA’s) stand-up team. During his time there, he held multiple senior executive positions, including Deputy Assistant Administrator for Registered Traveler and a senior leadership position on the Agency’s Checkpoint Evolution team. In these roles, he was responsible for managing new and innovative expedited screening programs. Along with Adam Tsao, he co-founded Airside Mobile, a mobile commerce platform that aims to simplify travel.

Adam has been a leader in the transportation industry for over 16 years, and he played a vital role in the creation of the TSA in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. While at the Agency, he was the Chief of Staff to the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Technology and Process Innovation and an advisor to the White House’s Security Technology Task Force. His responsibilities included the development, testing, and deployment of a number of checkpoint technology solutions that aided in speeding up passenger while still maintaining target security levels. Adam brings valuable private sector experience as a Co-Founder of Airside Mobile and as a consultant to multiple public and private sector organizations in the commercial aviation industry.
Nicholas Mahalec

Nick was the TSA’s project manager for its effort to create a worldwide standard for mobile boarding passes. Through the International Air Transport Association’s Bar Coded Boarding Pass Working Group, he helped the world’s largest airlines develop a common standard to successfully deploy mobile boarding passes across the United States. While at the TSA, Nick received specialized training in the Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT), and helped to implement several expedited passenger screening programs. Nick brings a wealth of experience from the private sector, specifically from the energy and management consulting industries.
